Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Lake Suwa 40mm
To the southeast of the Shinshu Watch Studio, where the Spring Drive watches are made, lies Lake Suwa, a constant inspiration for Grand Seiko. Take, for example, the dial of the Spring Drive SLGA021, which evokes the surface of this lake. When you look at it, you can’t help but see gentle waves moving over the lake swept by pre-dawn breezes. The dark blue colour of the dial manifests itself differently depending on the angle at which the light strikes it as the surface of Lake Suwa itself. The watch is powered by the 5-day Calibre 9RA2 Spring Drive movement, assembled by the skilled craftsmen of the Shinshu Watch Studio and designed to run for approximately 120 hours (5 days) when fully wound. Like flowing water, the seconds hand glides over the dial without ticking, reflecting the natural and silent flow of time thanks to the Spring Drive movement. Ref. SLGA021G
