Grand Seiko Heritage Collection: The legacy of the Grand Seiko 62GS
This is a modern reinterpretation of the celebrated 62GS of 1967, Grand Seiko’s first watch with an automatic movement. Along with the 44GS, launched the same year, the 62GS pioneered the expression of Grand Seiko Style, a design grammar that continues to define Grand Seiko watches today.
Sharp-edged, Zaratsu-polished design
This modern reinterpretation retains the sharp edges and perfect, distortion-free surfaces of the original, achieved through the unique Zaratsu polishing. The wide opening of the dial, made possible by a bezel-less construction, highlights the elegance of the watch.
Dial inspired by the winter snows of Taisetsu
The light grey textured dial is inspired by the deep winter snows that cover the Taisetsu Mountains, the twenty-first of Japan’s twenty-four sekki or seasons. This design captures the essence of the season and brings a unique sophistication to the watch.
