Grand Seiko Evolution 9 40 mm
SLGH005G captures the dynamism of the white birch forests near the Shizukuishi studio, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are made. To look closely at the dial is to experience the same sensation a visitor to these forests receives and to come closer than ever to the true and eternal nature of time.
The overall look of the watch is known as the Evolution 9 Design and will be an important part of the Grand Seiko signature for years to come. Its powerful hands and prominent fluted markers ensure perfect legibility, and the combination of Zaratsu polishing, a distortion-free mirror finish, and the very fine matt finish, gives the case a calm and harmonious glow.
The case has wide lugs and a low centre of gravity that ensures the watch sits easily and securely on the wrist.
The high alternations watch is powered by the revolutionary 9SA5 calibre, which offers a power reserve of 80 hours thanks to its increased energy efficiency.
