Rolex officially presented its new models in Basilea, including the brand new movement of GMT-Master II and the new case of the famous Deepsea D-Blue.
Below we have summarised the different Rolex models with a brief description of their new features.
GMT Master-II 126710BLRO
This model was presented for the first time with a Jubilee bracelet. With its well-known two-colour red and blue insert, this GMT-Master II Rolex reminds us of its original 1955 version. However, this year the insert is made of Cerachrom and the watch has a Jubilee bracelet. Note should also be made of its new calibre 3285, with power reserves of approximately 70 hours.
Cosmograph Daytona 116595RBOW
The new features unveiled at Rolex Baselword 2018 also included a new design of the classic Daytona. Some of you will remember that last year Rolex surprised us with the Yatch-Master 40 and its gem-set bezel of sapphires and multi-coloured tsavorites. At Basel this year, Rolex presented a new masterpiece, highlighting once again its mastery of the art of jewelry.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches have been equipped with a 4130 movement for quite some time. Click here to read our exclusive interview of the Rolex customer service and learn more about this movement.

Deepsea D-Blue 126660
Rolex surprised us, once again, with a new design of this model`s case. This time the 44mm case comes with a wider Oyster bracelet and in consequence a readjusted Oysterlock clasp.
As a result, the watch looks more like Rolex’s other sport watches, for example the Rolex Submariner. As you can see in the next picture, the case barely covers the Helio valve.
The new models presented by Rolex also included new 31mm and 36mm Rolex Datejust watches. The case has some new design features and the movements are calibre 3235, which means that they now have power reserves of about 70 hours.
